What Is The Rest Of The World Thinking About Us Now…….

Our electorate has changed the direction of America. We have seen these cycles since the beginning of politics in our Republic. What we have not done in our history is step outside our comfort zone with the introduction of Socialism into our very powerful political system. There is no reason why I would dissect the last election or why we are where we are today, the conservative faction did not show up at the polls and now must live with their apathy.

If you were approached in the street and asked what you think about France, I doubt there would be much praise. Today I am choosing to view this from the perspective of the man in the street in virtually every other country on the face of the earth. I suspect they would likely say…

We are not viewed with universal admiration
Another perspective

America has incredible wealth. The opportunities to personally acquire a part of this wealth are endless explaining why millions of people want to be here. Americans understand that reward is the result of work, but they are beginning to demand that wealth be distributed, not earned. They are beginning to understand we have tremendous debt and it is growing…..,

America is beautiful beyond compare. Its cities are magnificent, rivers numerous, from mountains to desert lowlands, they have it all. They have immeasurable natural resources, but tend to take them for granted.

America is drifting from it’s proven capitalistic and Christian heritage. They would point to the developing Muslim population and their current wave of political clout. They would point out the United Kingdom and other European countries that are suffering from this influx and influence and the resulting damage being done.

They likely would point out that America is the gate keeper for the concept of freedom and the rule of law, but seems hell bent on abandoning those characteristics. I am confident they would show deep respect for our powerful military but turn around and mention the ever increasing military presence in countries like China, a growing counter balance to our military might.

Some would embrace our declining world influence while most would be concerned with our internal unrest and overall stability.

Most would point to the previous administration’s so called “open border” concept as ridiculous on its face. Previously , they would say, America had a defined process to gain citizenship, effective to a great degree in denying entry to patently undesirable people while admitting folks who would be productive. They would see the influence of a single man to bend the rule of law as a clear indication that democracy can be twisted.

These folks would wonder about how we can continually repeat the same mistakes on the world stage. They would see the Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iran conflicts as indications of our inability to rely on history to illustrate the folly of jumping into a fray that has very uncertain outcomes. Today’s wars have no lines and ideology never really dies. Everywhere we fight and do not occupy is not in our best interest.

Still the best place in the world

I don’t see the glass as half empty, but you have to wonder what they think when they see us veering off a tried and proven path to embrace economic and political strategies that have failed around the globe. We seem to always right the ship and accomplish our goals……however our system of government is being threatened. The question is what are we going to do about it? It will be too late if we cave to the socialists among us. Apathy isn’t going to get the job done……..not this time.
